Dr Sangeeta Garg – Consultant Paediatrician

Sangeeta finds every aspect of Paediatrics fascinating.

Her special interests are:

Sangeeta consults at:

  • Paediatric Specialist Centre on Monday, Wednesday, Friday every week and on the first Saturday of every month
  • Rouse Hill Specialist Centre on the second Tuesday every month
  • Warnervale Medical Complex every Thursday
  • Mariners Medical on the first Tuesday every month

Dr SVS Soundappan – General Paediatric Surgeon

Dr Soundappan consults at PSC on the first Saturday of every month.

Dr Sanjay Sinha – Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
MBBS, MD, FRANZCP, Certificate Child Psychiatry

Telepsychiatry sessions with Dr Sinha are available on Friday afternoon at 2 pm from the PSC. Dr Sangeeta Garg also participates in the session.

Ms Mala Sharma – Registered Psychologist, MAPS
BSc, Grad Dip Ed, Grad Dip Psych, Post Grad Dip Psych, Grad Certificate in School Counseling

Mala provides psychological services at the Paediatric Specialist Centre.

The assessments she provides include:

  • Psychological Assessments
  • Behavior
  • IQ – Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI) for 2 years 6 months to 6 years, WISC V for 6 years to 17 years.
  • Learning- WIAT, The Wechsler Individual Achievement Test 3rd Edition assesses the academic achievement of children, adolescents, aged 4 onwards.
  • ADHD
  • Autism- Gold standard, (ADOS & ADIR)

Counseling

  • Anxiety or panic management
  • Anger-related issues
  • Confidence building and assertiveness training
  • Behavior management in relation to ADHD, ODD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Depression
  • Grief and loss issues

Ms Lisa Pagano – Paediatric Physiotherapist
B.App.Sc. (PHTY) Hons

Lisa’s paediatric physiotherapy services include assessment and management of the following:

  • Asymmetrical head shape/torticollis
  • Delayed milestones such as delayed sitting, standing or walking
  • Hypermobility and low tone
  • Clumsiness
  • Toe walking
  • Gait assessment in older children
  • Developmental hip dysplasia, including the application of Pavlik harnesses
  • Congenital orthopedic problems including positional talipes
  • Postural problems in children (e.g. leg length discrepancies, bow legs, pronating feet, knock knees, pigeon toes)
  • Musculoskeletal and sports injuries in children and return to the sport
  • Post-operative rehabilitation following surgery (e.g. tendon release) including wound care, graded exercise programs and return to the sport
  • Fractures including casting and the application of orthopedic braces and boots as indicated.

Ms Lynne Bullen – Occupational Therapist, RDI® Certified Consultant

B.App.Sc (OT), Member of Occupational Therapy Australia and RDI Consultants Australia

Lynne is passionate about helping parents to connect with their child to guide them to their potential. She works with families affected by autism spectrum disorder using principles from the Relationship Development Intervention Program (RDI®).

Lynne will assist you to guide your child to grow in:-

  • Flexibility
  • Managing uncertainty
  • Thinking for themselves
  • Dynamic communication
  • Understanding
  • Initiative and motivation
  • Self-regulation
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Awareness of themselves and others
  • Self-esteem
  • Connectedness with others
  • Independence and competence

You can use NDIS funding for Lynne’s service if you are self-managing your plan or use a plan manager. She is also a provider with Medicare, including their Helping Children with Autism package. She is an approved Mental Health Provider for Medicare Items 2701, 2702, 2715, 2717 Focused Psychological Services as an Allied Health Professional, as well as for the Chronic Disease Management Plan (Item 135). Medicare reimburses a portion of the fee. These services are not bulk-billed.
